The damage to Prague's precious Jewish sites and the irreplaceable holdings of the Jewish Museum are a tragedy. The tragedy is compounded by the terrible expense of repairing the flood damage. The financial impact is further exacerbated by the loss of income from properties and tourism. The spiral continues and due to the terrible financial impact of this crisis, many crucial services and important projects are directly threatened. For example, the Jewish Community of Prague is responsible for the care of 181 of the country's 334 Jewish cemeteries as well as a number of synagogues outside of Prague. Your tax-deductible contribution will not only help to save Jewish sites in Prague, but will help to preserve the precious legacy of the Jews of the Czech lands.
